Electronics Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect electronic systems for defects, damage and faulty connections
- Perform functional and operational test of instruments and components as required
- Test electronic equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and operational readiness, using test equipment, oscilloscopes, digital meters,
counters and circuit analyzers - Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, and Technical Orders
- Adjust and/or align installed or repaired equipment to meet or exceed prescribed specifications.
- Record Testing, Repair and Warranty data on paperwork for electronic equipment tested, repaired, or calibrated
- Flexibility to work with peers across multiple time zones
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in soldering with both leaded and lead-free equipment
- Experience in adjusting, repairing or replacing defective components based on analysis of test results while following blueprints, schematics and/or Technical Orders
- Experience in corrosion control procedures, identification and treatment
- Experience in test and measuring equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency counters, and spectrum analyzers
- Must have time management skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ability to work without direct supervision, a self-
starter to learn when the pace slows down - Very strong attention to details
